Many people in the Idaho Springs area live in a country setting. The kids don't have much chance to trick-or-treat, and the homes get few, if any, visitors.
So several organizations in Idaho Springs went together to create have an opportunity for kids to come for a Trick-or-Treat type of experience. While they were at it, they thought it would be fun for the adults to have some visitors. They set it all up in a parking lot. Anyone who wanted to could bring their car, with treats in the trunk; costumes were optional, but a lot of people were dressed for the occasion. The kids then had lots of places to visit.
The Lions Club had a trunk.
Lion Barb was ready...
... and Lions President Mary and Secretary Carolyn made sure that there were plenty of treats.
