Lions Annual Picnic

It was an unusually gorgeous evening for our annual picnic!


It was well attended by members and families.




PDG Bill Mehrer and Lion Tom Allen grilled fabulous steaks and salmon for us!




Outgoing President Mike expressed appreciation to his officers for their help.


New Lions Laura Salmons and Barbara Stoffers were inducted by District Governor Jack Russalesi.  Mary Broyles was their sponsor.


District Governor Jack installed Outgoing President Mike Morris as the Tail Twister for the coming year.

District Governor Jack installed PDG Bill and Eye Bank Director and PCC Ken Quast  as Board Members for the coming year.


District Governor Jack installed Lions Anne and Jim White as Lion Tamers for the coming year.


District Governor Jack installed Lion Jeff  Norton as Treasurer for the coming year.


District Governor Jack installed Lion Carolyn Kennedy as Secretary for the coming year.



District Governor Jack installed Carla and Don Allan as Vice Presidents for the coming year.


Finally, District Governor Jack installed Lion Mary as President for the coming year.


We had a delicious, fun and successful evening!

9Health Fair

As we have done every year since the 9HealthFair was founded more than 30 years ago, the Idaho Springs Lions Club sponsored the health fair again this year.


This year, the new Recreation Center in town provided the venue.



Lion Mike Morris again organized and managed the whole show.


Many Lions supported the event, including Lions Anne and Jeff...


...and Lions Joe and Tom.

Lions 6C Convention

Club member Jack ran for district governor.


So the club hosted a hospitality room at the District 6C convention, April 1-2.
With plenty of food...

...drink (Idaho Springs beer)...

...showcase of things from Idaho Springs, past and present...
...and fund-raising games...


...some of which went head-to-head.

Club members enjoyed dinner together with a talk from International Director Mel Bray.

And in the end, we can present our new District Governor Elect Jack

Kidsight, Fall 2015

I S Lions Club screened almost 300 children this fall.


Mike and Jack are with the director of a day care center where we screened their children.

Emil got the stickers ready for giving to children who got their, " picture" taken.

Jim took pictures of kids' eyes, while Anne kept the records.

6-C Cabinet Meeting

On November 14, the Idaho Springs Lions Club hosted the 6-C cabinet meeting.

The Dist. Secretary (Barb), 2nd VDG (Steve), !st VDG (Jack) and District Governor, Andy led the meeting.
